I know that the decision to begin therapy, or start with a new therapist, can be intimidating. This is why my top priority is building a safe and welcoming environment in which to explore feelings, thoughts, and experiences, while building a collaborative and trusting relationship. I understand that everyone is different and we don’t all need the same thing. I work to adjust my therapeutic approach to best fit client needs. Starting from client strengths, I work together with clients to empower them to develop goals and make decisions to support them. I have experience working with adult and adolescent clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions, as well as those who would like help navigating relationships or family dynamics. I use a variety of techniques based on client needs, including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT (including mindfulness and meditation), and ACT. I practice unconditional positive regard towards all clients. My work is trauma informed, I am LGBTQIA+ aligned, and I work from a feminist, anti-racist and culturally informed framework.
