Jane is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO). Prior to working at CAOCD, Jane trained at the Frances Smith Center for Individual and Family Therapy at Chapman University, where she gained valuable experience working with adults, families, couples, and adolescents facing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship stressors. In addition, Jane facilitated mindfulness-based groups and support groups within a medical setting, collaborating alongside psychiatrists and medical doctors. Jane has an extensive knowledge and passion for treating anxiety disorders, including specific phobias, health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In her approach, Jane strives to create an environment for her clients that feels safe and supportive while building the structure necessary to achieve success. She also enjoys incorporating humor into her treatment with clients whenever possible. As an integrative clinician, Jane tailors treatment to each individual client, utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure with response prevention (ERP) alongside depth-therapy approaches. Jane is also trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), an evidence-based treatment which allows her to effectively coach parents on the best way to help their children manage anxiety and OCD. Jane is an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
