Through my comprehensive training at McLean’s intensive outpatient program, MAMP, I have a strong background working with individuals with OCD, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, specific phobias, separation anxiety and hoarding difficulties. I am passionate about working with people who are struggling with anxiety and OCD, and helping individuals face their fears in an empowering, supportive, and structured manner. About Vanessa Wells (Licensed Mental Health Counselor): Her prior work at Clearview Horizons, North Carolina State University’s Counseling Center and Cambridge Eating Disorder Center’s Residential & Outpatient programs has provided her with significant experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, and eating/body image related issues. She completed 3+ years specialty training in OCD/Anxiety disorders under two PhD-level clinicians with extensive experience at nationally recognized OCD programs in Rogers' and McLean's hospitals. Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) within a multicultural family systems framework. Moreover, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a valuable and empowering technique when working with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and body image/eating struggles.
