I specialize in working with women and queer-identified individuals with relationship concerns (with others or self). This may include struggles with sexuality/intimacy, trust, impact of trauma, relationship endings, or low self-worth. Relationship concerns may manifest into symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, or difficulties expressing emotions. Those who work with me find themselves increasing their ability to communicate their needs in relationships, feel more empowered, recognize they are valued and worthy, and better understand and respond to their emotions. I believe I could not effectively attend to your goals for therapy without considering the influence of your and my intersecting cultural identities. I am a LGBTQ+ affirming and sex positive therapist. I work towards and value forming therapeutic relationships that are safe and trusting, collaborative, warm, and authentic. My approach in therapy is integrative, using interpersonal, intersectional feminist, relational-cultural, trauma-informed, and emotionally focused theories. I meet in-person with my clients, due to the anticipated benefits for our relationship and my clinical assessment by being in one another's presence and having increased psychological access to one another.
