My therapeutic orientation generally includes a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure therapy, etc.). I help people recognize patterns in their behavior, gain insight into their emotions, thoughts, and behavior, create meaningful change, approach difficulties in interpersonal relationships, reduce stress, cope with anxiety and depression, and improve their outlook on life. I tend to be active in the therapeutic process and I feel that trust, empathy, and acceptance are essential for effective psychotherapy. I specialize in grief (including grief related to death by suicide), couples therapy and relationships, infertility, anxiety (especially OCD, generalized anxiety, phobias, and panic), the college/graduate student population, and working with those in the medical professions. I am also a registered yoga teacher and I work to integrate psychotherapy and yoga in group settings, especially focusing on anxiety, sleep, and grief. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call - I would love to connect and have a chance to tell you more about myself and my practice
