I am accepting new clients! Connection with others in our lives is the foundation for personal growth. My primary approach as a therapist is cognitive-behavioral therapy, but I find that first building a real connection through attentive listening, validation, and humor are the first steps to lasting change. Once established, we'll explore the patterns between your thoughts, feelings, and actions in order to help you take the helm and steer your own ship in life. I also utilize mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and I am trained in trauma-focused CBT and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma. My goal is to help you not only feel better, but to grow in ways that make a healthier life both possible and sustainable. I specialize in treating adolescents, young adults, and adults. I treat a variety of mental health issues including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I also support my clients through challenging life transitions ranging from adjusting to college, life after high school, relationship concerns (romantic relationships, family relationships, etc.), and learning better communication and self-advocacy skills. Whatever the concern may be, we'll address it together. Prior to work in private practice, I worked as a therapist in group practices and a nonprofit. I see therapy as a collaborative process. You are the expert on yourself, and together we'll establish goals that are important to you that we’ll work toward as a team!
