Hi, I am Jarrod. I am so grateful to be a small part of helping those struggling with mental health. I specialized in providing trauma-informed care to clients 15+, adults, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, identity difficulties, grief, life adjustments, and mood disorders. I am passionate about helping to destigmatize mental illness across all populations, I use an extremely invaluable approach to build and establish patient trust throughout the therapeutic journey. I am a safe and supportive place for all people to land. As an Independently Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) under the supervision of Dr. Matthew Paris, PsyD., and Janelle Paris MAEd., LPCC-S, I have lots of professional experiences in mental health and substance use care. With over 10 years of experience, three of which were dual diagnosis treatment, Jarrod brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice. His mission is to help clients achieve lasting wellness and mental health recovery by providing holistic support and unconditional positive regard while maintaining a solution focus to truly help clients reach their goals. Jarrod provides a safe space for clients to openly share struggles they might otherwise push into dark corners. He affirms, “Shame needs three things to grow exponentially: secrecy, silence, and judgment. Douce shame with empathy and it simply cannot survive,” (Brene Brown). In his work, he emphasizes a compassionate and inclusive approach, ensuring that individuals feel heard, understood, and supported. His dedication to empowering his clients and promoting mental health awareness makes him an asset to the mental health field. Jarrod utilizes techniques from "Parts Work" theory, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He helps his clients identify and reframe challenging negative thought patterns and adopt healthier behavioral patterns. In his free time, Jay enjoys swimming, spending time with his family, pets, and playing cards.
