Good on you, my dear, for taking this first step! You're taking a positive and important step towards the possibility for change and personal growth. My name is Jasmine Travis and I am a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that most people who seek counseling are not psychologically abnormal. My clients are having human reactions to a complex, stressful, ever-changing world. No matter the problem, people cope in the best way they know how. Perhaps you find you're experiencing adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, sadness, heightened anxiety, trouble coping with the pandemic, daily life conflicts, or career issues. Maybe you're facing uncertainty or you're at a transition or turning point in your life. The complicated feelings of distress, anxiety, depression can be immobilizing. Life is challenging and my experience has taught me how valuable psychotherapy can be towards forward movement and meaningful change. Everyone has a story. I want to help you live the story you prefer. We are all unique, and so is what we need. My approach is person-centered, practical, interactive, and solution-focused. Utilizing several theoretical frameworks and approaches, I press into service the most appropriate styles and techniques to assist you, as an individua, in ways most helpful to you. We will work to build on your strengths to identify and achieve life goals. I will provide support, practical feedback and guidance to help you resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. Together, we will find solutions to your challenges and psychological/emotional issues. My professional experience in the field of mental health has afforded me an opportunity to impact hundreds of lives. This experience has also impacted yours truly (me).
