Introduction

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a passion for helping adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families reach their personal goals and fullest potential. Blending effective clinical tools with 18 years of pastoral counseling and clinical counseling experience, I combine compassion and empathy with honesty and practical tools. I specialize in anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, marriage, parenting, emotional regulation, PTSD, grief, and life-transitions. When we meet, you can expect a sincere and accepting atmosphere regardless of your situation and background. I merge CBT with Solution-Focused BT when counseling, and tailor each session to your unique goals and background. Regardless of where you are, I believe no situation is hopeless and that you have the resources and resiliency to be healthy and happy. I grew up in Texas an am a U.S. Army Veteran and ordained minister. My clinical experience includes Seattle's Center for Child Development, Fort Worth's Alliance Child and Family Solutions, and Dr. Messina and Associates. In addition to seeing clients, I have conducted extensive workshops, seminars, and conferences for marriage, parenting, and self-help. I am the owner of Anchor of Hope Counseling that combines compassion and expertise to help you reach your personal goals. We utilize evidence-based treatment approaches while working with a wide variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder, OCD, emotional regulation, and more. We also specialize in marital, child, parenting, and family relationship issues.
