My journey began in California, where I was born and raised. After concluding my military service, which spanned six years in the United States Air Force, I found my home in Arizona. My military experience inspired me to delve deeper into understanding trauma and supporting individuals in their recovery from challenging life experiences. My educational path led me to earn my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Penn State while on active duty. I then pursued my Master’s in counseling with a focus on the Treatment of Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation (TTAD) at Ottawa in Phoenix, Arizona, driven by my passion for this work and dedication to your well-being. In my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working across various levels of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization program, and intensive outpatient programs. This diverse exposure has equipped me with a wide array of therapeutic techniques, enabling me to customize my approach to meet the unique needs of individuals while assisting them in reaching their goals. I firmly believe in a person-centered and holistic approach, understanding that sustainable change necessitates addressing the person as a whole. My professional certifications and training are a testament to my commitment to providing the highest quality of care. They include Treatment of Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation (TTAD), a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) certification, Post-Induction Training (PIT/ The Meadows Model), and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). These certifications, along with my utilization of DBT, CBT, and CPT and focus on attachment, communication, and coping mechanisms, equip me with the necessary tools to reduce suffering and guide you towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
