Approach to Treatment I'm Dr. Jeff Morris a licensed clinical psychologist in Florida. I have nearly 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to a diverse array of clients with a variety of mental health concerns. I believe that good therapy always starts with a trusting relationship where you can be heard and be free of judgment. You can expect that your treatment will be customized to your specific needs, strengths, and concerns. I utilize an evidence-informed approach to treatment that employs multiple strategies to change burdensome thoughts or behaviors that keep you from feeling your best. I understand the choice to begin in therapy can be a difficult one. However, psychotherapy can have a lasting impact by helping you learn to use tools that you can apply throughout your life. My Experience I have devoted my entire professional career to providing psychotherapy. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Florida where I graduated with honors. I was a member of the Psi Chi National Honors Society and the Golden Key National Honors Society. I chose to attend a graduate school that placed a greater emphasis on training psychotherapy. I completed my Doctorate in Psychology at Indiana State University in 2006. I have always worked in settings in which I could offer treatment to clients with a wide variety of mental health concerns. I have particular experience in treating depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, adjustment disorders, relationship distress, work stress, grief, substance use concerns, and anger among other common issues. Reasons Why You May Seek Therapy There are many reasons someone may choose to enter therapy. Some may want to improve their mood or reduce their tendency to worry. Others may need help adjusting to loss or enduring significant changes in life such as retirement, divorce, changing careers, becoming a new parent, or relocation. Still others are hoping to improve their overall psychological well-being. Some people may desire a safe place where they can build an understanding of their emotional experiences or receive support in a private setting. Whatever your reason for seeking treatment, it is important to find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable. I am happy to offer a free, confidential 15 minute phone consultation to help determine if I am the right therapist for you. Presently, I am available for in person and telehealth sessions. I accept Medicare, but am not paneled with any other insurance. However, if you have out of network coverage, I am happy to provide you with necessary documentation of services rendered.
