Jen named her private practice "A New Dawn" to signify the break of day, the time when it begins to grow light after the darkness of night. We all go through periods in our lives that can feel like long dark nights. Actively participating in therapy can help us learn what steps we need to take to move us towards the light of our New Dawn. WHY CHOOSE JEN? Jen's counseling approach is warm, compassionate, and person-centered. She is committed to helping others discover, heal, and change the root cause of their struggles. Jen's deepest desire is to use her work experience, life experience, education, and love of people to help others through the rough times in their lives. CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING Jen belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in various capacities with the children, teens, and women in the Church. She served as a missionary in Brazil. Therefore, Jen offers clients who belong to the Church of Jesus Christ cultural understanding that they might not get with other therapists. However, Jen works comfortably with people of any religious background – ALL ARE WELCOME. :) In Jen's intake paperwork, she asks you to indicate whether or not you would like your Christian or other faith incorporated into your sessions.
