I’m a therapist for people who have had their life flipped upside down by a diagnosis, injury, or disability who want to live a full life. The problem is after such a dramatic change, it is difficult to imagine how life is going to get better. This can leave someone feeling hopeless and lost. I firmly believe it's possible to live a fulfilling and successful life no matter how dramatic, crazy, or rare the situation that has flipped your life upside down is. Using my degree in Exercise Physiology, I worked for almost a decade providing exercise-based rehab to people living with paralysis, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological diagnoses. During this time, I realized there was a major gap - the mental health component of recovery was not being addressed and was causing my clients to fall short of their goals to get their lives back on track. So, I went back to school for a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for people dealing with health challenges and disabilities just like you.
