*In person sessions currently offered in the Rochester, NY area, or via telehealth. I am a Buffalo native (Go Bills!) and earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. After completing a Master’s in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. I returned to Western New York and completed my pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. My fellowship focused on integrated care and family therapy and I received a post-degree certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am trained as a pediatric, family psychologist and I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, and families. I have extensive experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, developmental and behavioral needs, parenting, difficult adjustments, medical illnesses, and school concerns. I am particularly interested in the mind-body connection, interpersonal functioning and relationships, and how individuals, families, and members of a care team can effectively communicate. I am committed to creating an environment that feels safe and inclusive, where clients can explore various aspects of their identities. Rooted in evidence-based therapies, my approach is client and family-centered, utilizing individual and family strengths as a catalyst for change. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), skills informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and family systems techniques to guide treatment. I also see the therapeutic relationship as a vital component to treatment and help create an environment where clients can develop and practice skills to transfer to their daily lives. My ultimate goal is to support clients and families in experiencing improvements in functioning and quality of life. When not at work, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors with my family. I love hiking, camping, gardening, exploring fun restaurants, and going on adventures. I have a regular yoga practice and I also enjoy a good movie or drama series.
