Introduction

Hello! I have been working in the world of human services for approximately 14 years in various capacities. I became passionate about the area of mental health when I was working with survivors and victims of domestic violence as a crime-victim advocate. I noticed that we didn't have many mental health providers that could offer services to those impacted by interpersonal violence. Additionally, I became increasingly aware of the burnout that many mental health providers experienced when serving this population. This encouraged me to not only gain my master's degree in mental health counseling but also study and find resources to help with burnout prevention and recovery. It wasn't until I had my oldest child that I realized that we had a gap in services in the area of maternal mental health providers and I started to see a pattern. We needed more mental health therapists that could provide care and services in these areas. I specialize in maternal mental health and use a variety of tools from different therapeutic models to provide clients with holistic and specialized care. I am very passionate about working with parents, especially those that are trying to conceive, pregnant, have experienced loss in pregnancy, infertility, and postpartum care and I have received specialized training in this area. I understand how much courage it takes to ask for help. I create a safe and welcoming environment for you to feel at ease when discussing areas of vulnerability. I believe in being authentic, engaged and nonjudgmental and I use collaboration, direct and open communication and humor. I am honored to be a part your journey of exploration, growth and healing.
