Introduction

I am a lifelong resident of Oklahoma. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Human and Family Services from Southwestern Christian University and my Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Mid America Christian University. Licensed Professional Counselor (#6136) Jennifer Allen MS, LPC. My Experience: I have worked in multiple roles within Oklahoma's Community Mental Health System, gaining extensive experience in providing mental health services. My training includes individual, group, couple, and family services across all life stages, in various settings. I have also served children and families in the Child Welfare System for over 20 years. My certifications, training, personal research, professional development, and ongoing supervision have given me a well-rounded cultural competence and clinical skill set. My Approach: Relationships, confidentiality, and positive outcomes are the pillars of my practice. I view therapy as a collaborative, developmental process. The therapeutic alliance between counselor and client is key to attaining improved wellness. My goal is to connect, process experiences, renew hope, alleviate symptoms, and celebrate successes, all while maintaining trust and confidentiality. Each session is fully dedicated to you. Using Best Practice modalities and techniques, we will build an individualized therapeutic relationship to help you achieve personal restoration, development, healing, and growth. I adhere to the NBCC Code of Ethics and the regulations set forth by the State of Oklahoma. My expectation: In therapy, as in all things, the effort you invest directly influences the results you achieve. My expectation is that we both commit fully to your well-being and personal growth. With support and guidance, you invest in yourself. Consistency in attending sessions, patience with the process, and openness to the journey will set the stage for your success. Remember, therapy is not a linear process, and you may experience both highs and lows along the way.
