Come sit on my virtual therapy couch and let's talk! My name is Jenny Nagg, and I am the owner and Licensed Professional Counselor of Waxahachie Therapy. I am dedicated to understanding and supporting you in the best way possible. Let's work together to achieve your goals and begin creating a positive change in your life. My Background and Style: I have had the immense privilege of assisting individuals, couples, and groups in their healing process and supporting them in overcoming the various challenges they face in their lives. By providing a safe and empathetic space, I empower my clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, guiding them towards self-awareness and self-compassion. I believe that everyone has within them the capacity to heal and find their own inner strength, and I am dedicated to helping my clients tap into this reservoir of resilience. I utilize a person-centered and psychodynamic approach, tailoring my methods to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual, couple, or group. I draw upon various therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to counseling. Counseling is not just a profession for me; it is my life's passion. I'm an intuitive therapist, skilled listener, and talented communicator. I use these gifts as my guiding light in our sessions together. I have a down to earth and relatable (sometimes humorous!) approach and like to get right to the heart of the matter. I'm passionate and enthusiastic about what I do and how to get you where you want to be. Let's get started! During my undergraduate studies, I immersed myself in the diverse subjects and concepts of sociology, which sparked my passion for understanding human behavior, societal dynamics, and complex family systems. After completing my bachelor's degree, I decided to further pursue my education in the field of counseling. In 2006, I obtained my Master of Education degree in Counseling from the prestigious counseling program at the University of North Texas. This advanced degree equipped me with the skills and training to begin my LPC internship. Upon completing the state required 3000 hours in supervised training, in 2008, I received full licensure status with the state of Texas and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. My license number is 62826. My Personal Life: In 2007, I made the decision to relocate from Denton County to Ellis County to be with my amazing husband whom I married in 2008. Embracing this new chapter in our lives, we established roots in our community and began building a life together. Our relationship has been a source of love, support, and happiness over the years, and we continue to cherish and nurture our bond. In 2014, we welcomed our daughter into our lives after years of infertility struggles. As a family, we strive to create a loving and nurturing environment for our daughter and the community around us.
