There are times when life feels more significant and almost bigger than us. This experience can be wonderful when filled with love, overcome with gratitude, & feel connected to a force and flow greater than ourselves. However, the pendulum swings both ways, and sometimes, we can feel overwhelmed, helpless, angry, or worried. In these moments of suffering, we sometimes struggle to "explain" our experience and seek guidance and support to provide relief. Psychotherapy is an effective way to help us understand our behavior and its connection to our inner emotional experience. It helps resolve common problems that often impact our daily functioning, including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, grief, and complex life phases. Psychotherapy is a supportive process promoting exploration, growth, and change. Through experience and clinical training, I specialize in the following areas: Self-harm, grief/loss, panic attacks, anxiety, mood swings, depression, eating and sleeping problems, parenting, divorce, pre-marital concerns, pregnancy, stress management, challenges with learning or attention, bullying, struggles with anger, acting overly aggressive and/or other behavioral problems, academic challenges, significant changes in life, sexual or gender identity struggles, substance use and addictions, and survivors of sexual, physical or emotional abuse. Because fit is essential in forming a therapeutic relationship, I offer a free, 30-minute initial consultation at my office or via teletherapy.
