Introduction

-when it does, I'm here to help you feel understood, safe, and comfortable as we navigate life's adventures and turns. My primary focus as a counselor is to explore how you can move through life in a more manageable way-who wants to do this alone? I use an integrative approach to therapy, embracing a strength-based, narrative perspective to tackle life stressors and difficulties. I often lead with a cogintive approach for change and many others when appropriate. This integrative counseling method balances mindful awareness, a genuine and empathic relationship, and collaborative efforts to identify what changes can minimize emotional and behavioral disturbances or other concerns you may have. Sense of humor comes free of charge and will pop up as needed; together, we'll build a stronger, more epic toolbox! My toolbox is filled with research and evidence-based treatment models. Whether you need help shifting from a negative belief about yourself in a certain situation to a more adaptive one or require small experimental changes in your behavior to gradually change your emotions, I've got you covered but you have to DO the WORK. I aim to meet my clients where they are to inspire change. I work to understand your unique strengths and struggles and create a safe space for your growth. Coming to therapy and facing your own self-work is a monumental step that takes its own kind of bravery—I'll be right there with you through the process. I specialize in working with adult women and adult LGBT+ people. I hold a BA in Psychology focused on children and adolescent development, a minor in criminal justice, and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My certifications include Complex Trauma Advanced or Level II (CCPT-II), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). Are you ready for change and no longer in contemplation? I invite you to commit to a 90-day plan , as research shows it often takes three months to create new habits. During our initial sessions, we will explore the issues at hand and collaborate to create a plan that helps you improve your overall wellness. Let's make Shift Happen!
