I work with people in all stages of life, including children, adolescents and adults who want to improve their mental wellness and increase their understanding of coping skills to assist in managing their mental illness. As a school psychologist, I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and young adults who are exhibiting behaviors that are interfering with their school life, their home life, their social life, and their safety. Often adolescents' feelings become overwhelming and unbearable; however adolescents have a difficult time asking for help. I can assist adolescents in articulating their issues and concerns and help adolescents gain the skills to improve their behaviors and their overall well-being. I can help motivate adolescents to learn how to use their strengths to overcome the issues they are facing. As a counselor, I have extensive experiences working with all ages in managing their anxiety in order to decrease the behaviors that are disrupting their life and improve their quality of life. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma issues, behavioral management, and other family concerns. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy, which is an evidenced based practice to increase a client's understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I have extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, private practice, as well as working in the school district. I am passionate about working with my clients to assist in overcoming experiences of trauma, anxiety, depression, difficult transitional periods, and grief.
