I discovered the perinatal world when a friend of mine asked me to photograph her homebirth. Witnessing the mental, physical, and emotional strength it takes to bring a baby into this world was an absolute life changing experience for me. I knew it wouldn’t be the last time. So, I soon after pursued doula training. I completed my doula training in 2014 and fell in love with supporting families through the transition into parenthood. Knowing this and knowing being on call and going to deliveries at 3am forever wasn’t sustainable for me, I went back to school to become a social worker. I completed my MSW in 2018. Since then, I have been working in Child and Maternal Health in various settings including hospital, clinic, and outpatient psychotherapy. I have found my calling in life. It is to support families throughout the perinatal period which includes conception, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, grief and loss, and parent child bonding. So much of pursuing and becoming a parent is connected to the experience you had of being parented. I will join you on the journey to discovering the inner child within you that needs healing and care as you prepare to offer yourself as a parent to your child.
