There may be pressures coming at us from every angle...work, parents, children, friends, spouses, world events. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming. We are doing the best we can, but perhaps we want to make things a bit easier for ourselves. We can all benefit from having someone to talk with to process our thoughts and emotions. Since everyone is unique, Arlene begins by listening to understand the client's needs. She then works together with the client to set manageable, realistic goals that are important to the client. For over 20 years she and her clients have addressed concerns from everyday stress to severe mental health issues using various modes of counseling with which each client is comfortable. She believes that all people are capable of reaching their goals and sees herself as a guide, helping clients discover their own inner strengths and gifts so they can make positive changes. Clients have wisdom and are teachers as well as learners. Her goal is to provide a safe place and a calming presence that will allow clients to talk openly and heal.
