I enjoy working with clients of all ages and have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, parenting, stress management, and relational issues. As a military wife, I have experienced firsthand the challenges that occur with relocation and deployment. I help service members transition from military to civilian life and support families adjusting to these changes. If you are preparing for a move, nurturing a relationship with a deployed partner, helping your child cope with life without their present parent, or struggling with grief and loss, I can help. In addition to supporting military families, I am passionate about helping women with perinatal mental health and am working towards completing my certification as a new area of specialty. I understand the physical and emotional challenges that come with being an expectant couple/mother, a new mom, or a mother having her 2nd, 3rd, or 4th child. Women experience motherhood in very different ways based on hormonal and familial changes. If you are experiencing insomnia, sadness, intense irritability, frequent crying, or difficulty bonding with your baby, help is available. With treatment, symptoms are more likely to improve and you are less likely to develop a serious, long-term mental health concern. In my sessions, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental place to process feelings and learn skills to manage emotions in healthier ways and communicate more effectively to improve relationship issues that often arise during these important life transitions. As a former competitive dancer, I also offer performance coaching for athletes and dancers of all ages. I help clients improve their ability to manage stress related to performance and competition. I incorporate mindfulness into my practice because I believe in the powerful mind-body connection to help my clients achieve optimal wellness.
