Hi. My name is Jennifer You've probably come here today looking for the right person to talk to . While I am glad to tell you about my degrees, training, experience and credentials, I first just want to let you know that I care and tell you a little bit about me. I am an avid hiker and the mountains are my happy place. To me, counseling is kind of like hiking a new, hard trail but with a guide. The guide can't navigate the terrain for you, but they are there to equip and support you along the way. They have walked the trail before, so they know how to prepare, they know the dangers to look out for, and they hopefully have good outdoor skills to help keep you safe along the way. That's how I see my role as a therapist-to meet you wherever you are on the trail, come alongside you, support you and see you make it to the summit. I've been on trails where I wanted to give up and all it took was that one supportive person to encourage me, maybe share some trail mix, and remind me that I didn't come this far to give up on the side of the trail. Let's make it to the top together. And, just in case you want to make sure you have a qualified guide, I've been in the helping field since 2001 and because a therapist in 2005. I earned my license in clinical social work in 2009, my certified clinical trauma professional designation in 2010, and have been a college professor since 2009 as well. I am licensed in several states (TX, FL, UT, VA, VT, SC) and provide telehealth in all of those states as well as in-person counseling services in the Houston, Texas metro area. I look forward to meeting you and bring part of your journey. -Jennifer
