Jennifer is a licensed independent clinical social worker in Alabama and Mississippi. She has over 18 years of experience in various comprehensive areas of social work. She has provided direct professional service in medical social work in hospital and community health settings, child & family services, behavioral and mental health, and now with the Veterans Health Administration, assisting individuals and their families of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Jennifer is passionate about helping individuals live fulfilled lives regardless of difficult life circumstances. She believes your past does not determine your future. She takes a client-centered collaborative approach to addressing wellness. She believes optimal health and wellness encompasses eight pillars: physical, spiritual, financial, psychological, social, intellectual, vocational, and environmental. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Mobile, a minor in Psychology, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Family. She’s currently enrolled at Sacred Heart University, pursuing a PhD in Social Work. Jennifer has received specialized training in trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), tele-mental health, motivational interviewing, and health coaching.
