Life has very difficult moments and phases. Perhaps you are navigating the grief journey of a death or loss; or the recovery journey from abuse, neglect, or another traumatic event. Maybe you are coping with a phase of life and the adjustments it requires. You could be at your wits' end managing your depression and mood swings, and frustrated with the effects these have on your life. Do you feel like you want to run from your anxiety, or even squash it? Absolutely exhausted by the time and energy that food, disordered eating, and concerns with your body take from your life? You just want things to be better. While we can’t always avoid these difficult trials, we can choose how to navigate through them, and with whom to have with us. I have over 20 years of experience working in mental health, with individuals across the lifespan and in various clinical settings. While grounded in cognitive behavioral therapies, I often use an integrative approach, using the most appropriate. evidenced-based intervention tailored for you. I have advanced training and experience in the expressive arts and group therapies, trauma and eating disorders; I am an EMDR trained (completed BASIC I and II) for trauma, complex PTSD, and anxiety concerns. Additionally, I have completed training in an advanced EMDR protocol, Sandtray EMDR Intensive Protocol (by Ana Gomez) which is a wonderful, non-threatening intervention for healing for children, adolescents, and adults. In conclusion, while life’s challenges can be overwhelming, you don’t have to face them alone. With over two decades of experience, I am here to provide the support and guidance you need to navigate through these difficult times.
