One of my favorite analogies is that I love snowstorms, because snow absorbs sound. When it is snowing, it makes everything quieter. Wouldn’t it be nice if our brain could have a snowstorm and be quieter? Therapy is a place that can help you learn to have that same effect. I’m Jenny Bishop and I help couples, people living with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and people living with food allergies. My clients come to me for help to learn about themselves and gain overall satisfaction in their lives, but just need the support to get there. I help my clients find confidence, gain insight into their thoughts and feelings, and learn how to manage the curve balls life throws at you by equipping them with the tools that they need to better understand themselves. Many of today’s solutions for mental health can feel distant and one-size fits all, leading many to feel like they just aren’t connecting with their therapist, or they aren’t making progress. I know that your circumstances and life experiences are unique to just you. Therefore, every step we take is tailored to you and always is aimed at continuing towards your goals. First, we look at what things are impacting you and/or your relationship and where you would like to be in six months to feel like therapy was beneficial. Then we work together to figure out what interventions and style of therapy that your brain likes. If your brain likes something, it is easier to implement, and will be more effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll learn more about yourself and what you need to meet your therapeutic goals.
