First of all, I want to applaud you for the courageous act of saying “Yes” to yourself by seeking out emotional support. While this can be a necessary step in the journey towards healing, I recognize for many of us, it can be an intimidating ( and even scary) step, to say the least. I realize, both personally and professionally, that life has a way of challenging the fundamentals to who we are; our set of values, belief systems, and even the ways in which we deal with stressful circumstances. It goes without saying that sometimes our own sense of resilience and self-empowerment wanes, making us more susceptible to heightened levels of intolerable emotions that goes beyond what we can handle- that’s where i hope to come in and help! Through taking time to really listen to your story, my desire is to not only help you get “unstuck” but to learn, together, how you got emotionally derailed in the first place. As a therapist, my desire is to create a safe space for your emotional pain each time we meet. You do not have to navigate the stresses of life alone, nor should you have to. While I am confident in my general work around anxiety, depression, and trauma, I have a specific interest in working with OCD, history of addiction whether personal or familial, grief and loss, faith (specifically Christian), and those that might identify having a disordered relationship with their body. I would be honored to meet with you. Please reach out and we can see if we would be a good fit !
