There are probably numerous reasons why you have found yourself here, especially in the midst of a pandemic. You may be facing hardship, stress, sadness, worry, anxiety, crisis, unbearable emotional pain, depression, substance abuse issues, or any other issue that is keeping you from living your life the way you feel it should be lived. Whatever the issue you are facing, I am happy that you decided to look for help. So many people feel unseen and unheard, as though they have to hide behind family secrets or shame of the past. At times it may feel impossible to break free from labels. Life is hard, and at times we feel it can become unmanageable. People can hold onto the belief that they do not need help from others during tough times. Yet sometimes we are faced with the difficult truth that we need some outside guidance. If you are finding yourself in that place, I can offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to walk with you through this journey. Who I Am As a therapist, my desire is to help create a supportive relationship that allows individuals, couples, and families to create self-understanding and acceptance that will be the foundation leading to the change they want to see in their lives. In our work together, we will use the strengths you already possess to create a workable plan for issues that hold you back. The goals are yours; the work is ours. Specialty Certified Clinical Trauma Professional since 2024 Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider since 2024 Passion for Therapy From my early adolescence, I have had a strong drive and passion to help people. Working with diverse populations who struggle with everyday life stressors or traumatic events has brought me great inner fulfillment. My passion and clinical experience in assisting individuals and families with emotional and substance use issues have led me to where I am today. Techniques Techniques are based on the individual style of each person. I integrate many techniques for change: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, structural, relational, and motivational interviewing. There are many beliefs about how or why we have the problems or struggles that we have. I do not claim to have all of the answers. I subscribe to the belief that there are outer and inner influences that can create a cycle that prevents us from living our most gratifying life. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you in hopes that a greater fulfillment and contentment will shine through everyday life.
