I help children, adolescents, and adults who are having difficulty with adjustments and traumatic experiences by providing mindfulness based and trauma informed therapy with presence, acceptance, and compassion. What does this mean?! It means that I believe people are resilient. I believe we can transform and grow out of challenging and hard situations, and I believe this transformation occurs when we can begin to live our lives in the present moment. Transformation has occurred when our past memories do not change our our present day self. Transformation has occurred when we can vision our future in a way that motivates our present day self to take the next right action. Transformation has occurred when we drop the pattern of being stuck in the past OR being overwhelmed by the tasks of the future. I help people use past and future thinking only as a tool to inform the choices of today in order to help build healthy relationships, improve family dynamics, enhance school performance, increase job performance, and grow joy in everyday life.
