*Accepting new clients* Do you feel stuck in your relationships with others? I would love to help you identify and interrupt the relationship patterns that are keeping you stuck. I am an associate marriage and family therapist with experience working with couples seeking a deeper connection and individuals healing from relational trauma. I am trained in emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) for couples and am currently pursuing a year-long advanced training that will lead toward certification. This approach is rooted in attachment theory and is designed to help clients improve communication, restore connection, and improve overall relationship satisfaction. This approach has also been adapted for use with individuals (emotionally-focused individual therapy, EFIT) and is an evidenced based treatment for relational trauma. Often, a history of relational trauma may manifest as anxiety, depression, low self-worth, people pleasing, and self-sabotage. EFIT is a holistic and embodied "bottom-up" approach that helps clients explore a new way of feeling for their emotions and caring for themselves. This is especially useful for clients who “overthink” and know how to solve their own problems, but have difficulty implementing solutions without support.
