My approach is deeply rooted in connection, compassion, and acceptance. I am passionate about assisting clients in discovering and connecting with their own inner wisdom and strengths, as well as gently supporting the process of change. I believe that most change happens in a safe, caring relationship and the role of the therapist is to create such relationship through genuine empathy, curiosity, and attunement; seeking to support the client in the work of knowing themselves more deeply and continuously returning the client back to themselves and their knowing. As I believe clients are the experts on themselves, this process is a collaborative work through a strengths based, anti-oppressive, and trauma informed perspective. We all have parts that may feel loud, chaotic, or complex, I work to hold space for clients to gently explore these areas in a non-judgmental and compassionate way. Whether you’ve experienced trauma or loss, are in the midst of crisis, or a going through a life transition, I believe that there is space to hold all of the complexity, ambiguity, joy, and pain. Often by tending to these places that feel dark or overwhelming, we can bring healing, lessen anxiety, and live life more fully. I have worked in a variety of capacities with folks of all ages, and have experience and/or training in anxiety, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, LGBTQIA+ community, social justice/anti-racism counseling, mindfulness, parenting support, religious trauma, death & loss, EMDR, and working with neurodivergent individuals.
