As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward self-discovery, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Drawing from a person-centered approach, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings and experiences with empathy and understanding. My therapeutic approach combines elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic principles to empower clients to navigate life's challenges from a wellness perspective. I utilize attachment theory principles and work from a trauma informed approach. I believe that every person has the innate capacity for change and growth, and my goal is to help clients build the tools and confidence to achieve meaningful, lasting transformations. Whether you're managing stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, or navigating life transitions, we will work together to develop personalized strategies that foster resilience, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I work with kids, teens and adults. Through collaboration and active listening, I strive to guide clients in developing greater self-awareness, understanding their thoughts and behaviors, and embracing a more balanced and fulfilling life. I combine over 25 years of experience working with adolescents and adults with my life experience having been married for 32 years with two adult children to assist my ability to connect with clients. If you're looking for a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, I invite you to reach out. Let's take the first step toward healing and growth together.
