I am glad that our path crossed at this moment :) It takes so much energy and courage to reach out to someone you have never met. Probably wondering back and forth: Is she going to be a good fit? Is she going to be able to hold the space for me? Can she handle all the complex issues that I don't even know how to start with? I can not guarantee you anything. (Yes, I am sorry, and no, I can't!) Life is full of unexpected surprises (or terrible things). The only thing I can promise you is we can figure out something together. That is why I have so many tools in my toolbox. No two snowflakes could be the same, so as human beings. There is no one size fits all approach exists, but the approaches can be integrated with each other with deeply etched experiences and trainings. Let's connect and walk on this journey together. If we ended up not click with each other, I will try my best to connect you with someone that I know are good in this field. Here is a little things about me: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MA), Licensed Professional Counselor (TX), Registered Play Therapist™, EMDR therapist, Level-II Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and former Teaching Fellow at Harvard University Graduate School of Education. I serves MA and TX residents with life transition issues, clinical mental health struggles, and developmental/attachment traumas via telehealth. I was born and raised in Taiwan. All those life experiences, transitions and moves, they teach me how narrow-minded we could be when we can only see things from one perspective. I respect the uniqueness of individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Every individual, regardless of age, was once a child. (Alright, I know it is so silly. I hope at least that make you smile when you read this.) Through numerous interactions with people and the environment around us, we establish our internal belief systems embedded in the unique familial/social context. I strive to provide a secure therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for healing and growth since relational wounds also heal through relationships. I will meet you at where you are at and implements evidence-based therapeutic modalities and cutting-edge neuroscience findings. My treatment modalities are solid integrated into age-appropriate trauma-informed, attachment-based care by using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), EMDR therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play therapy, and other interventions to enhance psychosomatic connections. I hope to see you online soon!
