Introduction

I am an LISW-S, Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation, and I strive to create a safe space where all topics are on the table. I find that we often are too hard on ourselves and can benefit greatly from speaking to ourselves with kindness and understanding. I believe that a work life balance is key to keeping a healthy mind, body and soul. I would be happy to meet with you to figure out if my therapeutic style is the right fit for you! My journey in the field of mental health has been shaped by a combination of personal experiences, academic studies and my work with diverse populations aged 18 and up. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. I was able to see pain in the world that others could not but felt incapable of making a real difference. I found that deep conversations, sitting in the discomfort and pain of difficult experiences, and facilitating the healing process was very rewarding work. I have been in love with this line of work ever since I stepped into a therapy role at the end of 2022. My goal is to create a safe and empathetic space for you to discuss, explore and navigate life’s hard decisions. My hope is for you to feel welcome, seen, heard, and understood without fear of judgment. I believe there is power in a collaborative therapeutic relationship where you can be an active participant in your healing journey. My approach utilizes evidence-based therapeutic techniques, and integrates various therapeutic modalities, tailoring interventions to meet your specific needs and ensuring a holistic and client-centered approach. In addition to my clinical skills, I understand the importance of cultural competence and diversity in mental health care. I am committed to providing a therapeutic style that respects and values the unique background and identity of my clients. As a Queer person myself, I prioritize the importance of self-acceptance and self-love within and outside of the LGBTQIA+ community. This approach enables me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an environment of inclusivity and understanding. I am always willing and eager to learn more about your specific background and identity as we continue to work together.
