My name is Joey and I am one of the oldest of 9 children in a very Brady Bunch-esque family. During my childhood I experienced familial poverty, addiction, and trauma, all experiences that have lead to deep compassion and understanding for people who struggle. As a counselor I apply a wholistic, strength based, and non-pathological approach to adversity. I utilize Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as foundational theories for practice, and implement a wide variety of modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered, and Constructivist approaches.
