I have been a practicing therapist for nearly a decade and truly feel lucky to have found this work. Being able to accompany people on their path towards growth and healing is tremendously invigorating and rewarding. I have trained extensively in cognitive behavioral approaches (CBT/DBT/ACT), Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). I have also trained in specific focus areas including trauma, crisis, cultural awareness, LGBTQ+ cultural competency and ethics. I approach all practice through a lens of social equity and inclusivity. Any effective treatment must begin with collaboration and connection. Through collaboration, we develop a deeper understanding of the presenting issues and set a path towards healing. I treat people in a way that approaches overwhelming symptoms and experiences in a manageable and caring way. I understand that people often engage in therapy only after years of intense and painful struggle. I honor and respect that struggle while offering hope and support in order to return to life.
