Greetings, I know what it's like to be in therapy. I spent two years in therapy over 10 years ago, working through things such as severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and identity development. In more ways than one, I had to rebuild my life, or to state it differently, I had to re-write my story. The two years I spent in counseling were a major inspiration for me to go back to school and pursue a counseling career of my own. For the last five years I have been working with families and teens doing individual, group, and family therapy. Whenever I meet a client and hear their story, I consider it an honor to be invited into their life. Counseling, to me, is a unique relationship whereby stories are shared and crafted, the heart finds healing, and freedom is discovered. I enjoy thoughtful games of chess with a cup of dark coffee particularly during cool mornings. Chocolate, pecan pie, hammocks, sweet tea, U2, and the Mumford and Sons are some of my favorite things. I find inspiration in creativity, books, and art. I would describe therapy with me as a non-b.s. approach. I won't waste your time, I will be honest with you, and my assumption is that your time and money is valuable to you. If you feel stuck in life, struggle with interpersonal relationships, feel overwhelmed, or are wrestling with something you struggle to put into words, then therapy may be a great opportunity to work through these things. I provide a free 15 minute consult, please feel free to utilize this to see if we might be a good fit. You can book the appointment on this website by clicking on the Request Appointment button. I also can provide services for those who are financially struggling. Please mention this in our consult so we can discuss how I may be able to meet you where you are.
