My practice focuses on relational issues, divorce, low self-esteem/mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss and life-related issues. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in the fields of mental health & substance abuse, both in community-based & hospital settings since 2008. I have worked extensively with adolescents/teens and adults ranging in acuity during this time, primarily in an outpatient setting but also in various inpatient settings; mostly hospital-based. Many of these clients have had exposure to various forms of trauma including Veterans (Vietnam to present), First Responders and the LGBTQIA+ community. My professional training includes a multitude of therapeutic approaches: CBT, person-centered, motivational enhancement therapy, strengths-based/solution focused therapy, Positive Psychology, Christian Counseling and Eastern Philosophy including Buddhist Psychology and Mindfulness. Beyond providing quality care as a psychotherapist, as a Social Worker, my passion for the communities I have worked with has led me to serve on numerous advisory boards and committees. In these roles, I advocated for and secured increased funding for access to treatment as well as barrier elimination to many who did not have the means. Therapy is a journey, and I have been blessed to be a part of many client successes; let's find a path for you that will help you achieve your goals.
