Dr. Jonathan Huffman is the president of the Wise Mind Psychology Center. He is a licensed psychologist, board certified behavior analyst, and a certified parent-child interaction therapist. He is a member of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) and enjoys supporting clients across the life span through telepsychology. He achieved his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, where he completed his doctoral studies between August 2016 and August 2021. While complementing his doctoral work, he also earned a Graduate Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies in December 2019, and another in Applied Behavioral Science in August 2019. Prior to his Ph.D., he received a M.A. in Clinical Psychology in May 2016 and completed dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Music (with an emphasis in Flute Performance) from Washburn University in July 2012. His clinical focus includes treating symptoms related to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, and depression. He stated, "I am deeply committed to helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives. My therapeutic approach integrates techniques for both change and acceptance, recognizing that many life situations require balancing these aspects. I tailor my warm, personalized therapy approach to each individual, emphasizing active participation both in and outside of sessions. This hands-on practice aims to alleviate distressing symptoms and enhance overall life satisfaction and well-being."
