Introduction

Deciding to come to therapy is a momentous decision and takes courage. My passion is for individual psychotherapy with adults. People come to work with me on depression, anxiety, grief/loss, life transitions and relationship concerns. I have expertise in each of these problems and feel that it is an honor to be invited to accompany my patients for this part of their journey. I offer a range of evidence-based treatments, from brief therapy for specific issues to longer-term psychotherapy for patients seeking insight and clarity into their lives and sense of self. My approach is collaborative and I work hard to create a supportive, accepting space where people can feel heard, valued, and empowered. Using a range of therapeutic techniques I strive to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to individual needs. I am passionate about social justice, my work and making the world a better place. I am an anti-racist, anti-sexist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician. Education: MSW, Simmons School of Social Work, Mental Health specialization. License: North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) #C003042 I am currently a provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Aetna, Cigna, Optum and United Health Care. I am also a fee for service (private pay). If you have another insurance and would like to use your out of network benefit, I can provide you with a Super Bill to submit to your insurance provider. To access my services and use your insurance you can find me on Grow Therapy and they will help set you up. A sliding fee is also available on a limited basis.
