If you are experiencing lack of motivation, feelings of loss or abandonment, or discouraged about your life or your relationships, you’ve come to the right place. I am here to help you overcome these feelings and eliminate the blocks to finding joy in your life. I offer Telehealth therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home. I am a compassionate, intuitive, and strength-based therapist who has dealt with many individuals with mental health issues and counseled couples and families with relationship conflicts. I’ve lived all over the USA, and spent a few years in Asia and Europe. I have learned to be flexible to people’s differences, while finding the human values and beliefs that unite us all. In a previous career, I worked as a Special Education Teacher with hearing impaired and learning handicapped teenagers and know a fair amount about their challenges and special needs. The Wounded Healer archetype is a woman or man who has gone through the dark night of the soul, fought with their negative thoughts and emotions, overcome their obstacles and survived. I too have struggled with losses of loved ones, dealt with multiple physical and emotional traumas and transformed my life. Each person’s story is unique and I am able to truly listen, empathize and help guide my clients out of the chaos and the darkness. Using Trauma-Recovery based therapies, I help clients work through their past traumas and complicated grief. There is always hope for new beginnings. I use a variety of therapy models and specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because it is a evidence-based practice and incredibly helpful in dealing with negative thoughts and beliefs that cause people needless suffering. Gently uncovering one’s dysfunctional thoughts, I help my clients find the root causes of their limiting beliefs, creating new insights, strengths, and positive outcomes. Couples often stop communicating before intimacy wanes. Using the Gottman Method for Couples, I help couples stop criticizing and being defensive and start practicing good communication habits. Couples often regain their spark and attunement after the blocks to communication are removed. We all want to feel loved and appreciated. Removing the obstacles and fears allow the love to flow again. Taking responsibility for one’s words and actions can go a long way in resolving difficult or seemingly impossible situations. As Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that created those problems." I help clients think outside the box and envision a new way forward. I look forward to meeting you and working together with you to improve your mental health and your relationships.
