Only accepting Counselor Associates for supervision— not accepting clients for therapy at this time* —Therapy— In lieu of typical "talk therapy" I offer EMDR mixed with IFS ("parts work"). Most find this deep work to be both incredibly rewarding as well as challenging. Therefor, it is best suited for those who have 1) done therapy before, 2) have a good set of coping skills, 3) have 1-2 emotional support humans, and 4) have made the time for therapy (this is not the type of stuff we can do on a lunch break). —Clinical Supervision— I strive to help each Counselor Associate develop an increased understanding of their client’s processes while also expanding recognition of power distribution and how it directly impacts the therapeutic process. I also aim to help my supervisees in their own career development, especially as it concerns making therapy accessible within the context of private practice. —My Values— Systemic oppression adds daily trauma to our lives— counseling and supervision shouldn’t add to that trauma, but it can and it has. I will continuously strive to honor and maintain a sacred space in counseling and supervision through a commitment to social justice, cultural humility, education, and honest self-reflection. ... *Surgery Letters of Support: Though not accepting new clients for ongoing therapy, I am continuing to offer assessments and letters of support for gender-affirming procedures. ___________________________________ A Note About Insurance: I am in-network with OHP (through Care Oregon), Kaiser NW, Moda, Pacific Source, and Providence. For other private insurances I provide "Superbills" to submit for reimbursement. If affording therapy is dependent on reimbursement, please check with your insurance provider to see if they will reimburse at in-network or out-of-network (OON) rates and check to see if you have a deductible.
