My name is Julia Bettge and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping teens and adults thrive. I am a Northern Virginia native and have been practicing counseling for over five years. I received my B.A. from William and Mary and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional and a National Certified Counselor. Are you or your teen struggling with low mood, frequent worry, relationship/friendship difficulties, or feelings of low self-worth? I offer individual telehealth sessions with a focus on identifying personal strengths, finding meaning and purpose, restructuring unhelpful thought patterns, and learning to understand and respond to emotions in an effective way. I am experienced in working with LGBT clients and am passionate about supporting people as they explore their identities and celebrate their individual strengths. My (virtual) therapy office is a safe space for everyone. My therapy style is warm, attentive, insightful, and down-to-earth. My role is to guide you through the counseling process as you develop new perspectives and new ways of being. Please call or email me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
