Introduction

www.juliafierle.com I have over 20 years of experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, distrust, mood changes, feelings of losing control and personal growth. I believe everyone is worthy and deserving. Unfortunately, some of our lifetime experiences may result in us believing otherwise. Too often we conclude that there is something inherently wrong with us because despite all the effort and hard work we put forth overcome our issues, deep down we still feel much the same even if we "know" better. I wholeheartedly believe that we all have the capacity to heal and find greater fulfillment in our lives. As we unburden ourselves from difficult experiences, unhelpful thoughts and feelings, and emotional pain - we begin to feel lighter and live a better quality of life where we can be more present with those we love. One of the reasons I am so drawn to animals and particularly horses, is that while they are affected by what happens around and to them, they don't define who they are by these experiences like people do. Animals organically and intuitively know how to release energy from trauma, challenges and change and "reset" themselves to the present. Animals have much to teach us if we observe and "listen." As Bessel van der Kolk describes in his book The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma, so much of our experiences are held nonverbally. No matter how much we talk, read, learn and understand about our issues - long lasting changes seem to elude us. From years of trainings and experience, I realized that we get farther and deeper when we integrate somatic (body) approaches in our therapeutic work. Finding the right therapist is very personal and not everyone gravitates to somatic therapies. We all resonate more with some people than others. I encourage you to "interview" me to determine if I am the right fit for you. I am your co-pilot - you are the pilot of your life and journey.
