We are intricately designed and deserve to experience life through the lens of dignity, value, and worth. Through counseling, we can identify areas of concern and work in a collaborative manner to set goals and learn skills to promote wellness and joy for the individual and their family. The early years of life are a dynamic time, with the influence of attachment styles, biology, parenting skills, and present capabilities forming variables that can be adjusted to create a foundation for healthy connection and address the impact that developmental trauma has on relationships and sense of self. I have an eclectic approach, preferring to use the theory that best fits the client and their worldview with an emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) Therapy to promote a holistic understanding of the connection between the brain and body. Previously, I have trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention as a caregiver and have experience working with children in the foster system as well as those with neurodivergence and developmental delays. My hope is to facilitate a place of safety and honesty for clients, meeting you where you are and supporting healing at your pace.
