Julia Josling, LMSW is a therapist at A Healing Place, LLC, and a fully licensed clinical social worker. Julia completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Social Work at Walden University. She is EMDR-Trained and has worked with people with various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, and adjustment issues. Julia is experienced in medical social work and community mental health, working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Julia believes therapy can be a deeply transformative experience and works with teenage and adult individuals, couples, and people in ethical-nonmonogamous relationships. She has worked closely with the LGBTQ+ community and is kink and polyamory-aware, offering a safe and sex-positive space for clients to accomplish their therapeutic goals. Julia utilizes a person-centered approach to therapeutic care and incorporates trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness into practice. She is able to offer an eclectic approach to psychotherapy and understands individuals are experts in their own stories. Julia also understands beginning therapy can be an overwhelming experience for most and will work closely with clients to help them through this journey.
