I began my career working in high schools and helping students and their parents navigate all that comes their way in those years. As a result, I realized how much I enjoy working not only with teens but with parents as they help their children grow and move on to their next chapter. In addition, I found myself helping student athletes manage all of the challenges that high school athletes face, working with them to help reduce anxiety, improve performance, and restore joy, which I continue to do in my private practice today. I also facilitated support groups for students who lost parents/siblings and see this as a specialty area of mine as well, helping clients of all ages manage grief and loss. And I recognize the unique challenges that come with going away to school/moving out and leaving an "empty (or emptier) nest", something that impacts every member of the family. I am here to help! My goal in therapy is to support, encourage, and empower clients to learn and implement tools to navigate these challenging times and find a sense of peace that they often feel is lost to them. Contact me for a phone consultation and see if we can start your healing journey together.
