Introduction

I am psychotherapist and board approved clinical supervisor who is very passionate about providing compassionate care and educating future clinicians about the treatment of mental health. My passion is saving marriages before they start. I aim to do this by doing pre-marital counseling to address issues head on, cultivate healthy comminucation and build a strong foundation, so that we have more lasting marriages. My other passion is training up future therapist, so when I am not seeing clients I offer clinical supervision for LMSW's seeking LCSW licensure. Prior to working in independent practice I worked in the hospital setting over approximately 17 years, working with a wide variety of patient populations serving as a crisis counselor and clinical supervisor. I am well versed in chemical dependency, general adult, geriatric and adolescent populations who suffer from mental illness and medical comorbidities. I have vast experience in a variety of settings, such as inpatient psychiatric/medical units, outpatient therapy, emergency rooms, and residential care settings. In addition to psychiatry experience I have 8 years of experience working with the chronically and terminally ill on the oncology & bone marrow transplant units; with both adult and pediatric populations, where I served as a case manager, financial advisor and grief counselor.
