Life can be overwhelming for a number of reasons and it's natural to seek help to find clarity and stability. Therapy can help you work through a crisis and better understand your feelings amid struggle. The journey can be hard and very emotional, but it is worth the time and energy you put in. Whether you are in the midst of a crisis or want to understand better what makes you tick, we can begin finding your true self in therapy. We will explore together what you need to do to have the fulfilling life you deserve to have a life filled with meaningful, mutual relationships, a strong sense of self, and peace of mind. I believe therapy is a team effort. We will work together to assess your unique needs and capacities. By intently listening to your personal stories and practicing self-reflection, we will build upon your (often unrecognized) strengths. I can help you achieve peace of mind, understand your actual goals and ultimately reach them. I take pride in making meaningful connections and helping others discover their strengths, voice their needs, and express their emotions. In my previous work, I served as a therapist in residential settings for substance use and eating disorders. I have also worked in adolescent facilities with anxiety, mood disorders, and family conflict. My current work is focused on supporting individuals in higher education. My background working with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families allows me to provide eclectic services and interventions. I am a human-centered therapist. I'll work with what you need, using a variety of therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused interventions.
